<description>Thank You for what you are doing to raise awareness around the need for bone marrow donors, the simplicity of joining the registry, for enrolling potential donors and for raising money to help support &quot;growing&quot; the registry. I will be at the concert tomorrow tonight as a volunteer. My granddaughter is one of the &quot;focus patients&quot; along with Viet Lam.
My granddaughter Jada was born with leukemia. She had her bone marrow transplant when she was 7 months old she is now 2 and 1/2 and in remission. Her donor was a 30 year old man from Germany.
To give back for our blessings our family created the Jada bascom Foundation and the Steps To-Marrow project in which I am walking from Seattle to LA and LA to NYC. To date I have walked 1031 miles. We have enrolled almost 600 potential donors with the National bone marrow registry and we are planning 56 bone marrow donor drives. I invite you to check out our website www.stepstomarrow.com
With deep appreciation,
