I will be at the concert tomorrow tonight as a volunteer. My granddaughter is one of the "focus patients" along with Viet Lam. My granddaughter Jada was born with leukemia. She had her bone marrow transplant when she was 7 months old she is now 2 and 1/2 and in remission. Her donor was a 30 year old man from Germany. To give back for our blessings our family created the Jada bascom Foundation and the Steps To-Marrow project in which I am walking from Seattle to LA and LA to NYC. To date I have walked 1031 miles. We have enrolled almost 600 potential donors with the National bone marrow registry and we are planning 56 bone marrow donor drives.
